The woman within

Embodying Ahimsa

I am a healer, intuitive guide, song-weaver, artistic yogini practicing Yoga and optimizing with Ayurveda to bring in the transformation of ignorance and confusion into awakened awareness.

My birth name is Tamara Dawn.

My people are of Scottish, English and German heritage, though I am a sixth generation Canadian. I am the face of lineages displaced and persecuted for having worshipped Life herself as Sacred; a long line of people who learned to hide in the mind to survive the unmetabolized integenerational trauma held in the body. I have devoted my life to transforming this legacy of sorrow into medicine and gifts for the dawning of the New Age, the returning of the feminine ways of knowing truth, and the healing of humankind’s relation with the rest of the web of Life.

My given spiritual name is Sonam Sangmo.

It means “Good Heart of Merit”, or “The Merit of a Good Heart” and it was given to me by a Buddhsit meditation master in the Kathmandu valley while living in a monastery teaching English to young monks. My spiritual lineage is with the cultures of ancient India and Tibet, the origins of Dharma; the birthplace of the Buddha. The blessings and gifts these lineages have brought me came through extensive study and practice of the systems of Yoga, Ayurveda, Meditation and Tantra, guided by qualified masters and time spent walking upon the earth of their place of origin receiving her transmission; A privilege I hold with humility and many, many, boundless thanks.

I have spent many moons in Nepal and India, immersing in Buddhist Studies, Yogic trainning, Ayurvedic study, initiation into Tantra and many many Suns in meditation.

My never-ending study and practice in these fields for the past 15 years, along with my work with sacred plant medicine, shamanic healing, and the transformational power of art and song, continue to refine me as a guide along the path of Spiritual Awakening.

It is here in this place of guide, as a feminine, intuitve, gentle, nurturing, soft, graceful, deep and safe helper along the path that I open my heart and invite you,
to invite me,
to support you on your journey home to your sacred gifts.

The tools in my bundle I can offer you are:

Yoga Practice

Gentle, Slow, Flowing movement practices to culture your intuitive connection to your own sacred space; Your Body.

Healing Touch

Sesitive, Deep yet Gentle massage from the Ayurveda tradition to re-connect and nourish the awareness of the body, relax the nervous system, and settle the mind in the heart.

Spiritual Council

Nourishing, Safe, Tender space holding and guidance (only when invited) for the times along the path when council with someone who has experience on a smiliar journey can be fortifying for the souls’ sense of being held.

My personal mission here in this incarnation is to support the great change that is upon us here on earth as we learn how to repair our broken bond of trust and respect both between humans and with the vastness of the non-human world.

I am here to learn to Love All Things, to Walk the Beauty Way, seeing the teachings in hardships and transforming ignorance into bliss.

I am here to walk the talk of Embodying Ahimsa,

to come home to the natural state of Awake Awareness;

the Bliss of the True Self,

 to encourage, uplift and guide

those who share this mission

in their own unique expression of the Spiritual Path.

This work is joyful, enchanted, and inspiring.

Sometimes it is hard, exhausting and sorrowful.

I know I  have needed and continue to need help along the way, and that helpers need helpers, who need helpers in the infinite web of Life that is the Great Mystery of Love.

With this, I offer my service.

What do people I work with say about me?

“I had my first massage with Tamara today and I have to say it was the most amazing, relaxing, releasing and transformational massage I’ve ever experienced!

From the moment I was in contact with her I could sense the level of compassion and genuine love for what she does!

I’ve been struggling in recovery for the last 16 months from a concussion and TBI. Tamara’s presence is very soft yet supportive and she really took the time to listen, ask questions and connect with everything I’ve been going through.

I feel that she took the time to fully understand my needs and let me know that I would be supported in her care while using her wisdom, depth of training, and spiritual guidance.

I felt safe, supported, comfortable and able to fully surrender to the treatment. I came out feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and nourished in mind, body and soul! In fact during our session I could sense and feel the releases happening and my energy shifting – leaving me feeling lighter and refreshed.

She awoke a sense of self love, balance and harmony within my heart and in my being. In the way she worked with me and held space for my healing it allowed me to see myself as a special gift and my body as a true temple of sacred space!

Tamara is an absolutely amazing vessel of Divine love and light!
I have Infinite Love and Gratitude for the experience I had today and I will love myself enough to continue my healing journey with Tamara!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

“Tamara seems to bring a loving presence and an intuitive listening to everything she does – and that’s certainly been my experience on her table. Her sessions are deeply nourishing, and rooted in the divine; she always leaves me feeling completely relaxed, integrated, and with my light shining brighter. Can’t recommend her enough!”
